A winter weather system is set to move through Colorado this week, bringing significant snow and windy conditions to the mountains. Eastern Colorado and the Front Range could see strong winds and dry air, causing elevated fire danger. Temperatures will be cooler mid-week with the snow and wind, with the weather warming up towards the end of the week.

Tuesday: Expect windy weather and afternoon snow and rain showers.

  • Breckenridge High/Low: 25/21
  • Grand Junction High/Low: 49/36

Wednesday: Skies will be cloudy with rain showers on the Western Slope and snow showers in the mountains.

  • Denver High/Low: 56/24
  • Breckenridge High/Low: 24/6
  • Grand Junction High/Low: 42/21

Thursday: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.

  • Denver High/Low: 41/16
  • Breckenridge High/Low: 13/4
  • Grand Junction High/Low: 39/28

Friday: There will be snow showers in Colorado’s high country.

  • Denver High/Low: 38/20
  • Breckenridge High/Low: 17/6
  • Grand Junction High/Low: 38/18

Saturday: Mostly sunny weather returns.

  • Denver High/Low: 44/21
  • Breckenridge High/Low: 20/7

Sunday: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.
