Climber airlifted after experiencing accident in Clear Creek County
A person was airlifted after experiencing a climbing accident along Clear Creek Canyon on Saturday.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. that a Flight for Life helicopter was staged near Highway 40 and Highway 6. The post also said that the condition of the patient is unknown and that Highway 6 was temporarily closed for the incident.
In an update at 3:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office said that the patient had been airlifted and that all emergency responders were clear of the scene.
The sheriff’s office thanked Clear Creek EMS, Alpine Rescue Team, and the Clear Creek Fire Authority for their response.
