WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey plays vs. Chiefs after returning to Broncos
With two practices under his belt in his return to the Broncos, wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey played as expected Sunday against Kansas City.
Humphrey, who had played the past two seasons with Denver, was plucked on Wednesday off the New York Giants’ practice squad. He had practices with the Broncos on Thursday and Friday.
Among those also active for Denver for the game at Empower Field at Mile High were running back Jaleel McLaughlin, who was inactive for nine of the first 10 games but is now needed with J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve, and rookie outside linebacker Que Robinson, needed due to Jonah Elliss being out with a hamstring injury.
In addition to Elliss, inactive for the Broncos were cornerback Pat Surtain II (pectoral), linebacker Alex Singleton (testicular cancer surgery), and tight end Nate Adkins (knee), who were ruled out Friday. Inactive as healthy scratches were offensive lineman Geron Christian, plucked off the Dallas practice squad last Tuesday, and defensive linemen Sai’vion Jones and Jordan Jackson.
Inactive for the Chiefs were running back Isiah Pacheco (knee), defensive back Joshua Williams, wide receiver Jalen Royals, tight end Jared Wiley and offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad.
