Christmas tree recycling open throughout Douglas County
As Christmas has come and gone, Douglas County and its local municipalities opened multiple locations Saturday for residents to recycle used Christmas trees.
Recycled trees will be turned into mulch which can be picked up at recycling sites while supplies last.
Ornaments, lights, tinsel, garland, plastic wrap, tree stands and wire must be removed prior to drop off. Trees sprayed with artificial snow will not be accepted.
