Denver weather: Slight chance of showers Tuesday, 4th of July looks gorgeous
As July 4th approaches, Mother Nature might bring one last round of her fireworks around metro Denver on Tuesday.
Denver residents can expect a slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9 a.m., as a cold front pushes through mid-morning, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
It’ll be mostly sunny with a high near 86 and northeast winds blowing between 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
“A few thunderstorms are possible across Lincoln county this afternoon, otherwise, drier conditions are expected across the region with highs in the mid 80s,” the NWS said.
Tonight we’ll see a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, with mostly clear skies and a low around 61. North winds between 5 to 7 mph will blow, becoming light and variable overnight.

Wednesday: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 90. Light and variable wind becoming west northwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Independence Day 🧨: Sunny, with a high near 82. Light north northwest wind becoming northeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.
Friday: A 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 83.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 90.
