Southbound lanes of Interstate 225 reopened at Interstate 70 Saturday morning after a crash.

Aurora Police posted at 2:47 a.m. on social media that officers were investigating the crash that closed all eastbound lanes of the I-70 off-ramp to southbound I-225.

Investigators believe a driver crashed into the median, causing his vehicle to flip. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said lanes were expected to be closed for several hours.

Just after 8 a.m., CDOT cameras showed lanes were back open.
