DU Pioneers lacrosse names captains for upcoming season | Colorado Sunshine

Where the good news shines

University of Denver lacrosse coach Matt Brown named the four captains to lead the team this season.

Jack Tortolani will serve as a captain for the second-consecutive year, joining by Jimmy Freehill, Casey Wilson and Joshua Carlson.

Tortolani played and started all 17 games last season, totaling 15 points. Carlson scored 18 times in 2024.

Freehill was an All-American last season and Wilson had six points in 17 games.

No. 10 Denver opens the season against No. 9 Johns Hopkins at noon Saturday at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
